Jamshedpur, March 8: International Women’s Day was celebrated by South Eastern Railway (SER) at its Kolkata headquarters, Garden Reach with great enthusiasm.
Anil Kumar Mishra, General Manager, South Eastern Railway was the chief guest at the programme.
Anil Kumar Dubey, additional general manager, Principal Head of the Departments and women employees of different departments were present on the occasion.

Mahua Verma, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, S E Railway welcomed the guests at the function.
In all, 54 women employees of South Eastern Railway were felicitated for outstanding contributions in their respective jobs in the function.

General manager, Anil Kumar Mishra appreciated the performance of nearly 8,000 women employees serving all over South Eastern Railway.
He also praised the awardees for their dedication, sincerity and hard work.
The General Manager mentioned about the International Women’s Day 2024 Theme – “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress”.
He also stated about the different initiatives taken by S E Railway for the benefit of its women employees.
A cultural programme was staged by the cultural team of the railway headquarters on this occasion.
