Ranchi, Nov 23: The core group of the Bihar–Jharkhand Plastic Surgeons Association (BJPSA) organised a clinical meeting on Saturday evening at Srijan, Khelgaon Chowk, where experts shared their experiences on the theme “Hypospadias Surgery – Key to Success.”
Dr Pankaj Kumar and Dr Vikrant Ranjan made the main presentation on the subject of hypospadias repair and explained the complexity of the condition. They noted that hypospadias repair is a surgical procedure aimed at correcting the abnormal placement of the urethral opening on the penis. The two surgeons also discussed recent trends and developments in hypospadias surgery in detail.
Senior Surgeons Share Insights
Along with Dr Pankaj Kumar and Dr Vikrant Ranjan, several senior members of the Bihar–Jharkhand Plastic Surgeons Association—Dr Ajoy Kumar Singh, Dr Arvind Prakash, Dr Anant Sinha, Dr Vijay Shankar Das, Dr Raj Kumar Pathak and Dr Neha Mookin—spoke on different aspects of hypospadias management and surgical techniques.

Veteran plastic surgeon Dr Ajoy Kumar Singh said the core group unanimously decided to continue organising similar clinical meetings on key and emerging topics in plastic surgery.
BJPSA to Finalise CME Schedule
The meeting also discussed the future course of action for the Association, including the organisation of a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme. It was decided that the current president of the Bihar–Jharkhand Plastic Surgeons Association, Dr Lalit Minj of Jamshedpur, would finalise the date and venue of the CME.
Dr Lalit Minj, a senior plastic surgeon from Jamshedpur, was elected president of the Association at its 11th annual conference held in Deoghar in October.
