Ranchi police arrest Xtreme Bar DJ’s killer

Ranchi, May 27: The police have arrested one Abhishek Singh, who allegedly shot dead DJ boy, Sandeep Pramanik of Xtreme bar, opposite hotel Radisson Blu, under the Chutiya police station.

He was arrested by the police from Alipur in Gaya district of Bihar. Abhishek happens to be a friend of Prateek, the manager of Union Bank in Ramgarh. The police are interrogating his three other associates, said SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha while addressing a press conference.

Notably, Abhishek lived in a flat located in SAIL City, Ranchi. When the police reached his flat, it was locked. After which the police broke the lock and searched the entire house. The police have also seized the rifle used in the murder. Police have recovered a white coloured car. This car had a fake number plate JH01DL-2400. It is suspected that the accused’s car met with an accident while fleeing after the murder. The car was taken to the garage with the help of a crane at around five in the morning. This car was recovered from a garage near Kutchhery Chowk. Four cartridges have also been recovered from the car.

Deceased Sandeep was a resident of West Bengal

According to the information received so far, Sandeep Pramanik, who worked as a DJ boy in Xtreme Bar, was a resident of West Bengal. Investigation revealed that Sandeep, also known as Sandy DJ, has been working for the last seven years. He had not given the names and numbers of his family members to anyone.

What is the case?

Abhishek along with Shameeruddin, Ayam Anwar, Prateek, Mrityunjay Yadav, and Prakash went to the bar on Sunday night.

During this time there was a fight between them and the bouncers of the bar. About two to two and a half hours after the incident, Abhishek Singh came again and shot DJ Sandeep. During the search, fake licenses for two weapons issued from the state of Assam were found in his name. Police are interrogating Prateek, Sameeruddin and Mrityunjay Kumar Yadav, among other associates of Abhishek Singh who were involved in the assault with the bouncer.

Entire firing incident captured on CCTV

This entire incident of firing has been captured on CCTV. It is visible in the CCTV footage that a man wearing half pant, covering his face, reaches the stairs of the bar, where DJ Sandeep is already standing to go home. A young man with a rifle in his hand and a cloth tied over his mouth reaches there and shoots Sandeep in the chest. After being shot, Sandeep falls near the lift, while the person who shot him comes out and fires several times at the bar from outside, then runs away in his white car.
