Ranchi, May 30: Adding an extra feather to its cap, Sadar Hospital surgeons, for the first time, operated on piles by circular stapler using MIPH (Minimally Invasive Procedure for Haemorrhoids).

Surgeon Dr Ajit Kumar said: “Grade 3 Haemorrhoid operation was done by circular stapler using minimally invasive surgery method. There is no bleeding in this operation. The patient feels almost no pain.”

He said usually this operation is done in corporate and private hospitals and one or two government hospitals but it was done in Ranchi’s Sadar Hospital today.
