New Delhi, Feb 20: Rekha Gupta was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi today. She had secured a decisive victory over Aam Aadmi Party’s Bandana Kumari in the Shalimar Bagh Assembly seat by more than 29,000 votes.
Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena administered the oath of office to Gupta in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Ramlila Maidan.
Along with her, Parvesh Verma, Ashish Sood, Pankaj Singh, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Kapil Mishra, and Ravinder Indraj were also sworn in as Cabinet ministers.

Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony, the Home Ministry granted Z-category security to the designated Chief Minister. Delhi Police, following ministry directives, has provided the security cover, while additional security measures have been implemented at her residence.
With her formal assumption of office, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will now officially receive Z-category security.
Meanwhile, the BJP today also announced the names of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Assembly.
Former Delhi BJP president Vijender Gupta will be the Assembly Speaker, while Mohan Singh Bisht will serve as the Deputy Speaker.
