Ranchi, Sept 10: In a political slugfest with Chief Minister Hemant Soren, BJP election in-charge and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said the people of the ruling party are tearing Jharkhand apart like eagles and crows.

Speaking to reporters at the Ranchi airport, Chouhan said we don’t speak such language but “Jharkhand ko shattadhari log cheel-kauwe ki tarah noch-noch kar kha rahe hain.”

He was replying to a question in which Soren said that the BJP leaders are hovering over Jharkhand like ‘political vultures.’

Corruption has reached its peak

The minister, who was here to prepare for launching ‘yatras’ in the State ahead of the assembly elections, said corruption has reached its peak, injustice has reached its peak. “Mountains of currency notes are being recovered from the people of the ruling party,” he pointed out.

Raising questions over the safety of girls and women in Jharkhand, Chouhan said the law-and-order situation is such that no one is safe. “They are eating up everything from sand to minerals. All the money of Jal Jeevan Mission has been wasted. The Prime Minister sent money for water to every household but the money did not reach a single village. Where did this money go?” he asked.

The senior BJP leader said that the JMM-led government did not provide a single job for five years and now at the time of elections, they are making us run 10-10 kms. Youths are losing their lives,” he maintained.

Demographic change

He said that the demographic change is happening in the entire Jharkhand. “It is horrifying and terrible and hence the BJP must save Jharkhand,” he maintained.

The minister maintained that not a single promise was fulfilled in 5 years. “They had promised to give 2000 rupees for cooking and now at the time of elections, they are laying a trap by giving only 1000 rupees, only for votes. We will expose this and the BJP will uproot this government,” he said.
