According to railway sources:

  • The Bhubaneswar–New Delhi Rajdhani Express on May 14 and 15 is expected to leave nearly an hour behind schedule.
  • The New Delhi–Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express on May 16 will run about two hours late from its originating station.

The delays are expected to impact passengers travelling through Tatanagar, Chakradharpur, Rajkharsawan and nearby stations, especially during the ongoing summer travel rush.

“We understand the inconvenience, but passengers should check the live train status before leaving for the station. Once completed, the upgraded system will ensure smoother and safer train movement,” a railway official said.

A passenger waiting at Tatanagar station said, “Summer rush is already very high, and delays will make travel more difficult, but if the work improves safety and punctuality in the long run, passengers will cooperate.”
