Five flagship programmes to be strengthened

Presenting the organisation’s action plan for the coming year, he urged workers to actively implement Sanskrit Bharati’s five flagship programmes across Jharkhand—Shloka Recitation Centres, Bala Kendras, Gita Kendras, the Simple Sanskrit Examination and Sanskrit learning through correspondence. He also stressed the need to strengthen regular activities such as weekly gatherings, conversational Sanskrit camps and family education programmes.

NEP 2020 and practical Sanskrit literature

Highlighting the role of the Vidvat Parishad, Devpujari called for the preparation of simple and practical Sanskrit literature for wider public use. Referring to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, he said translating quality books on engineering, medicine, science, law and other disciplines into Sanskrit would strengthen India’s knowledge tradition.

Modern communication tools for wider outreach

In another session, he underlined the importance of taking Sanskrit beyond classrooms and making it accessible to every section of society. He advocated greater use of audiovisual platforms, social media, exhibitions, cultural programmes and the support of eminent personalities to popularise the language. He also urged the organisation to regularly observe programmes such as Gita Jayanti, Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti, Vasant Panchami, Vyasa Purnima, Varsha Pratipada, Vishwakarma Jayanti and Sanskrit Week.

Organisational roadmap and new responsibilities

The fourth session focused on organisational responsibilities, functioning and expansion of Sanskrit Bharati units, with participants receiving guidance on strengthening activities at the grassroots level.

The valedictory session outlined the roadmap for future programmes, during which new organisational responsibilities were assigned based on the workers’ capabilities and areas of work. Participants resolved to intensify efforts to promote Sanskrit across Jharkhand.
