Jamshedpur, Dec 8: The ‘Fourth Open Jharkhand Seat and Draw Competition,’ organized by Sarkar Yoga Academy, concluded on a high note at Kerala Public School (KPS), Kadma.
Santoshi Chandra won the title of Junior Artist of the Year (Jharkhand), while Harsh Kumar Rai was awarded the prestigious Senior Artist of the Year (Jharkhand). The event, showcasing a celebration of creativity and inclusivity, saw participation from children as young as four years old to senior citizens, including housewives and students from various schools across the city.
Competition features 334 participants
The competition featured 334 participants across 11 age-based groups. Each participant freely expressed their creativity on a drawing sheet, creating a vibrant display of diverse artistic styles. In addition to the two major title awards, first, second, and third prizes were distributed among the winners in each group, along with consolation prizes and certificates for all participants.

The event was inaugurated by KPS Director Sharat Chandran, with Tata Steel Equipment Maintenance Head Satish Ganpati and Vice President Prabal Ghosh as special guests. They praised the initiative, emphasizing its role in uncovering and nurturing hidden artistic talents among participants.
Other notable attendees included KPS Academic Director Laxmi Sharat and social workers Deepak and Darshana Tank, who distributed prizes and certificates. Yoga Guru Anshu Sarkar, the event’s organizer, received appreciation for his efforts in promoting art and creativity alongside holistic education.
The second session of the event featured the Pancham Open Inter-School Awesome Yoga Championship, jointly organized with Awesome Yoga Academy. Six groups competed based on age categories. Notable winners included: Junior Boys Group: Arin Roy, Junior Girls Group: K. Dixita, Senior Boys Group: Abhishek Srivastava, Senior Girls Group: Abeera Kumari.
The event underscored the importance of extracurricular activities in holistic development. The fusion of an art competition and yoga championship showcased the balance between creativity and mindfulness, leaving an inspiring mark on participants and attendees alike.
