Jamshedpur, Sept 12: In an attempt to manage the anticipated extra rush of passengers during the forthcoming festive season, South Eastern Railway has decided to run a festival special train between Ranchi and Ara.
08640/08639 Ranchi–Ara–Ranchi Festival Special
Train No. 08640 Ranchi–Ara Special will leave Ranchi every Sunday from September 28 to November 2 at 8:45 pm and will arrive Ara at 09:15 am the next day.

Train No. 08639 Ara–Ranchi Special in the return direction, this train will leave Ara every Monday from September 29 to November 3 at 10:00 am and will arrive Ranchi at 8:45 am on the same day.
The special train will have stoppages at Muri, Kotshila and Bokaro Steel City.
The festival special services will provide much-needed convenience to passengers travelling between Ranchi and Ara during the festive period, ensuring smoother and more comfortable journeys.
