Security forces eliminate one terrorist in J&K’s Doda

Gandoh, June 26: A top police official reported that one terrorist was killed during an encounter between terrorists and security forces on Wednesday in the Gandoh area of Doda in Jammu and Kashmir.

“One terrorist has been gunned down. ADG Jammu Zone @anandjainips on spot alongwith DIG Doda and SSP Doda. Details awaited, ” ADGP Jammu posted on X.

The ADGP in another post stated that earlier in the day, Jammu and Kashmir police and security forces conducted a combined operation in the Bhaderwah Sector of Doda district.

On June 11, terrorists attacked a joint check post at Chattargalla, causing injuries to six security personnel. The following day, a policeman sustained injuries during a gunfight with terrorists at Kota top in the Gandoh area.

Following the two attacks, security forces increased their efforts in anti-terrorism operations and offered a cash reward of Rs 5 lakhs each for information leading to the capture of four Pakistani terrorists suspected to have infiltrated and active in the district.
