Mumbai, March 13: Senior Maharashtra Congress leader Padmakar Valvi joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Mumbai on Wednesday, in the presence of state BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule and party leader Ashok Chavan.

Valvi was a prominent figure within the Congress Party in Nandurbar, a district primarily populated by tribal communities. He held the position of MLA for Nandurbar three times, making him a popular face in local politics.
