Jamshedpur, May 21: In a major relief for passengers travelling between Jharkhand and Delhi during the peak summer season, the South Eastern Railway (SER) has announced a special train service between Tatanagar Junction and Anand Vihar Terminal.

The special service, introduced to mark ‘Janjati Diwas’, aims to reduce overcrowding and long waiting lists on regular trains as holiday travel demand continues to rise.
Special train schedule and route
According to an official notification issued by the Office of the Principal Chief Operations Manager, Train No. 08183/08184 Tata–Anand Vihar–Tata ‘Janjati Diwas’ Special will operate for one round trip under special fare arrangements.

Train No. 08183 (Tatanagar–Anand Vihar Special) will depart from Tatanagar Junction at 12:30 am on May 23 and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at around 3:30 am on May 24.
The train will stop at major stations, including:
- Muri
- Bokaro Steel City
- Gomoh
- Gaya
- Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Junction
- Prayagraj
- Govindpuri
On the return journey, Train No. 08184 (Anand Vihar–Tatanagar Special) will leave Anand Vihar Terminal at 1:45 am on May 25 and arrive at Tatanagar at approximately 12:15 am on May 26.

Coaches and passenger facilities
Railway officials said the 22-coach special train will have Sleeper, General, and Air-Conditioned coaches to accommodate passengers from different travel categories.
SER has also made additional arrangements to ensure passenger safety, cleanliness, and smooth train operations during the journey.
Summer rush and passenger demand
Officials said the special train service has been launched to handle the heavy rush of students, migrant workers, and professionals travelling between Jharkhand, Bihar, and Delhi during the summer vacation period.
The railway expects the service to provide significant relief to passengers who have difficulty getting confirmed tickets on regular trains.
