PINAKI MAJUMDAR
Jamshedpur, Feb 2: Caring for one’s parents is the highest form of service, and extending the same spirit to serve others who reflect parental values is truly noble, said Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy.
Saryu Roy was speaking at the valedictory and farewell ceremony of a free eye camp organised in memory of late Sona Devi. The camp was jointly organised by the Sona Devi Memorial Educational Foundation Trust and Sona Devi University.
He praised the camp coordinator and Chancellor of Sona Devi University, Prabhakar Singh, for dedicating himself to social service after the demise of his mother. Roy said such selfless service always attracts divine blessings and goodwill from the people.

Institutions Reflect Social Ideals
Roy said the ideals of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia and Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan are reflected in institutions like Ram Manohar Lohia Seva Sansthan, which work for the upliftment of the most deprived sections of society.
