Seven UMU pharmacy students chosen for ‘Scholarship for Daughters’ programme

Ranchi, March 11: Seven students from the Bachelor of Pharmacy programme at Usha Martin University (UMU) have been selected for the prestigious B. Pharma Scholarship for Daughters, a national initiative funded by MSD Pharmaceuticals and implemented by the Smile Foundation.

The scholarship programme aims to support and empower young women pursuing pharmacy education across India, encouraging academic excellence and strengthening opportunities for women in the pharmaceutical sciences.

The selected students from Usha Martin University have been invited to attend the official launch of the scholarship project in Delhi, where the initiative will be formally introduced.

The students selected from the B. Pharma first-year batch are:

  • Rishu Kumari
  • Manisha Jaiswal
  • Ambika Kiran
  • Sharon Kachhap
  • Shruti Kumari Chauhan
  • Supriya Rani

University Congratulates Students

The Vice-Chancellor of Usha Martin University, along with the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Dean (Academics), Campus Director and the Head of the Department, congratulated the selected students and extended their best wishes for their academic journey.

University officials said the achievement reflects the students’ dedication and academic excellence, while also highlighting the university’s commitment to promoting women’s education and encouraging success in pharmaceutical studies.

The university administration expressed confidence that the selected scholars will continue to excel and bring further recognition to Usha Martin University in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
