Jamshedpur, Feb 24: A comprehensive traffic regulation plan will be enforced across Jamshedpur on February 26 in view of the proposed visit of President Droupadi Murmu.
The district administration has announced special arrangements to ensure smooth traffic movement and heightened security during the President’s scheduled programmes in the city.
Programmes at Marine Drive, Kadma and Baridih
According to officials, the President is scheduled to attend events at Marine Drive, Kadma, and Manipal Hospital in Baridih, East Singhbhum district.

To manage VVIP movement, a special traffic plan will remain in force from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm on February 26. Stricter restrictions will be imposed between 11:00 am and 4:30 pm to ensure seamless security and traffic control.
Restrictions on Heavy Vehicles and Buses
During the restricted period, the movement of all heavy vehicles and four-wheeled goods carriers within city limits will be completely prohibited. The operation of passenger buses in urban areas will also remain suspended.
However, vehicles associated with essential services will be exempted as per established norms.
Traffic police have appealed to residents to use alternative routes, avoid unnecessary travel, and strictly follow the issued guidelines. Additional police personnel will be deployed at major intersections and sensitive locations to minimise inconvenience during the VVIP movement.
The administration has assured that normal traffic operations will resume immediately after the President leaves the city.
