New Delhi, April 29: The bail plea of suspended IAS Pooja Singhal, accused of money laundering, was heard in the Supreme Court on Monday.
After hearing all the parties during the hearing, the apex court refused to grant her bail and rejected her bail plea.
The bail plea of Pooja Singhal was heard in the division bench of Supreme Court judges Justice Sanjeev Khanna, Justice Dipankar Dutta and Justice Augustin George.
Senior advocate Siddharth Luthra argued on behalf of Pooja Singhal, while ASG (Assistant Solicitor General) SV Raju argued on behalf of ED.

Last year, on April 12th, the accused in the money laundering case, suspended IAS officer Pooja Singhal, surrendered before the Ranchi ED Special Court. Since then, she has been in judicial custody at the Birsa Munda Central Jail.
The ED had arrested Pooja Singhal on May 11, 2022, in connection with the MNREGA scam case in Khunti, Jharkhand.
Her husband Abhishek Jha has already been granted interim bail by the Supreme Court.
