New Delhi, July 18: In the NEET UG paper leak case, the Supreme Court after the hearing has ordered the NTA (National Testing Agency) to release the entire result on the portal by Saturday afternoon at 12 o’clock.

The Supreme Court said that after that, it will see how widespread the paper leak is or if there has been any irregularity. The Supreme Court also said that the result should be released along with the names of the exam centres, but the names of the students should not be disclosed.

The Supreme Court will hear the next hearing in this case on Monday, July 22.

During the hearing on Thursday, the Supreme Court also said that until there is strong evidence, they cannot order a re-examination. The Chief Justice DY Chandrachud-led bench heard the NEET UG paper leak case.

Earlier, on July 11, the bench of the Supreme Court had adjourned the hearing of this case. Notably, about 40 petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court regarding the NEET UG paper leak case. All petitions have demanded a re-examination.

On the other hand, the central government has taken the stance in the case not to cancel the examination.

The central government had submitted an affidavit to the Supreme Court stating that the NEET UG paper leak issue is limited to only one or two places. It asserted that not all places experienced a leak. Therefore, imposing the burden of a re-examination on the 23 lakh candidates who took the NEET UG paper based solely on apprehensions should not be justified.
