New Delhi, September 20: The Supreme Court’s official YouTube channel was hacked on Friday, featuring videos advertising a cryptocurrency developed by the US company Ripple Labs.

The hacked channel was streaming a blank video titled “Brad Garlinghouse: Ripple Responds to the SEC’s $2 Billion Fine! XRP Price Prediction.”

A senior Supreme Court official stated that, while the precise details are unclear, the website “appears to have been compromised.” He noted that the issue was discovered on Friday morning, and the Supreme Court’s IT team has since engaged with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) to address the situation.
