Jamshedpur, September 24: Tata Power EZ Charge has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) charging network in Mumbai with the commissioning of a new high-capacity charging hub at New Mahakali Nagar in Malvani, Malad West.
The new facility has eight dedicated parking bays and four fast chargers, including one 120 kW charger and three 60 kW chargers that can be upgraded to 120 kW. The chargers support the CCS2 fast-charging standard and feature an auto-charging facility, making the hub compatible with a wide range of electric vehicles.
24×7 charging facility with no parking fee
The charging hub will remain operational round the clock and does not levy parking charges. It is expected to serve individual EV owners as well as commercial and fleet operators in Mumbai’s western suburbs.
Located close to Mindspace Business Park and Infinity Mall, the facility is positioned to cater to the area’s growing working population and EV traffic along the corridor.
Maharashtra network crosses 2,400 charging points
With the commissioning of the Malvani hub, Tata Power EZ Charge’s charging network in Maharashtra has crossed 2,400 charging points, including more than 1,800 charging points across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
The expansion comes amid growing EV adoption and increasing demand for reliable and high-speed charging infrastructure in major urban centres.
EV users can locate the new facility, check charger availability in real time and make digital payments through the Tata Power EZ Charge mobile application.
Tata Power’s nationwide EV charging network
At the national level, Tata Power EZ Charge has built a network comprising more than 2.5 lakh home chargers, over 6,500 public and captive charging points and more than 1,200 electric bus charging points.
The network spans more than 700 cities and towns and serves over seven lakh registered customers, according to the company.
Tata Power said the continued expansion of its charging infrastructure is aimed at improving access to reliable, high-speed EV charging and supporting India’s transition towards electric mobility.
