Tata Steel Foundation West Bokaro Division celebrates World AIDS Day

THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK

 

Ramgarh: In an effort to sensitize and spread awareness about AIDS among the adolescents, youth and community of the region, Tata Steel Foundation, West Bokaro Division organized an awareness rally on Friday from the Tata Steel Foundation office.

Dr. Ashish Roy, Chief Medical Officer, Tata Central Hospital, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel flagged off the rally.  This year’s theme of World AIDS Day is ‘Let Communities Lead’.

The awareness rally passed through TSF office, Patel Chowk, Bank turn, Purana Kanta and ended back at TSF office via Driver Hut.  About 100 students, including teenagers from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar High School, St. Peter’s High School and Middle School, Saathiya, Rishta Project, participated in the awareness rally and spread slogans and posters on AIDS prevention to people.

The second awareness rally was organized at Bongabar in which around 200 people including Bongabar High School, Mukhiya, Ward members, Sevika, Sahiya, public representatives participated.

On this occasion, a drawing and quiz competition was also organized to prevent AIDS among the community.

Divyahas Rai, Head, CSR, Collieries, Aditya Kumar Singh, Unit Head, TSF, West Bokaro along with other officers and employees were present on the occasion.
