Ranchi, May 7: The ED today conducted fresh searches at five locations in continuation of yesterday’s raids on the premises linked to Jharkhand Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam.
The agency recovered Rs 1.5 crores from Rajiv Kumar Singh, a contractor. In the cash haul, cash of more than 10 crore was routed through him.
Notably, on Monday, the ED had raided the premises of Alamgir Alam’s OSD Sanjeev Lal, servant Jehangir Alam, two engineers and contractor Munna Singh. The agency recovered Rs 35.23 crore from their premises.
According to the information, raids are being conducted on a builder living near Singh More as well as two builders living near Ratu and the ITI bus stand of Ranchi.
On the other hand, the ED team raided the premises of contractor Rajiv Singh living in the Doranda area of Ranchi.
