Balaghat, Feb 19: In a major operation near the Chhattisgarh border, Madhya Pradesh’s elite anti-Naxal unit, Hawk Force, along with local police, neutralized three women Naxalites on Wednesday in Balaghat district.
The encounter took place in the Supkhar Forest Range under the Garhi Police Station area, close to the Ronda Forest Camp.

According to an official statement, the joint police forces recovered an INSAS rifle, a Self-Loading Rifle (SLR), and a .303 rifle from the scene, along with essential supplies. Some Naxalites sustained injuries in the exchange of fire but managed to escape.

The gunfight erupted in the morning at a location about 90 km from the district headquarters. Additional Superintendent of Police Vijay Dabar confirmed the operation to news agency PTI and stated that further details were awaited.
In pursuit of the fleeing Naxalites, twelve police teams have been deployed for an extensive combing operation across the dense forested region.
