Jamshedpur, March 19: Several isolated places in north-western Jharkhand are expected to experience thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (max wind speed: 30-40 Kmph) today.

IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast in this regard today.
The forecast also indicated hail accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, and gusty wind (max wind speed: 40-50 kmph) at isolated places over southern and adjoining central parts of the state on Thursday, March 20.

The thunderstorm activity during the past two days in isolated places has stopped the Celsius march.

The maximum temperature was hovering around 32 degrees Celsius in Ranchi and its adjoining areas while in Jamshedpur the day temperature is around 37 degrees Celsius.
Daltonganj and its adjoining areas have recorded 35 degrees Celsius during the past 24 hours while Chaibasa in adjoining West Singhbhum district was the hottest place with 38.4 degree Celsius.
A partly cloudy sky is also expected to prevail at a few isolated places today.
