Jamshedpur, April 3: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a weather alert for various parts of the state, warning of thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds over the next two days.
According to the latest weather report, a trough extends from a cyclonic circulation over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal to southeast Madhya Pradesh, passing through Bihar and Chhattisgarh at 0.9 Km above the mean sea level.
Cyclonic circulations are also observed over south Chhattisgarh and southwest Madhya Pradesh at 1.5 Km above the mean sea level.
As a result of these weather patterns, the following conditions are expected.
April 3 (Thursday): Thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40-50 kmph) may occur in isolated areas across the southern and central parts of the state. In the northwestern and north-central regions, wind speeds of 30-40 Kmph are expected.
April 4 (Friday) : Thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) are likely to affect most parts of the state, except the northwestern region.
People are advised to stay indoors during severe weather, avoid open areas during lightning, and take necessary precautions against strong wind.
The meteorological department has also urged fishermen and outdoor workers to exercise caution.
