Ranchi, Sept 28: The BJP, which is burning the midnight oil to consolidate its ground presence in Jharkhand, today fielded two chief ministers, Himanta Biswa Sarma (Assam), Bhajanlal Sharma (Rajasthan) and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, besides several state-level leaders to counter State’s star couple-CM Hemant Soren and his wife Kalpana Soren.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan along with Babulal Marandi addressed the ‘Parivartan Mahasabha’ in Daltonganj, raking up the issues of threat to ‘roti, beti and Maati’, Maiyaan Samman Yojana, and joblessness.

What kind of Maiyaan Samman is this?

Chouhan said the JMM had promised women that they would be given Rs 2,000 every month for cooking expenses, but for four years and 10 months, Hemant Soren did not remember the mothers and sisters and now as the elections are approaching, only Rs 1,000 is being deposited in their account. “The Soren government has gobbled up 1 lakh 18 thousand rupees meant for women,” he alleged.

Physical test is not an accident but murder

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the Soren government had promised to give 5 lakh jobs to the youth, but no one got a job. “Now that the elections are near, in the name of constable recruitment, the youth were made to run for 10-10 kilometres in the scorching sun. Due to this many children lost their lives,” he added.

JMM cheated Jharkhand: Bhajanlal Sharma

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, addressing a rally in Deoghar, said that the JMM-Congress didn’t fulfil the promises made in the 2019 manifesto. “No work was done here. Big scams have happened in the Hemant government, this is not hidden from anyone. People of JMM, Congress and RJD also know this. JMM is a party of family, it is a party of dynasty. Family-oriented parties are not going to do anything for the country, society, labourers, farmers, youth and women. These are the people who serve their families and work to take their families forward,” he added. Rajya Sabha member Deepak Prakash was also present along with him.
