Two Jharkhand doctors receive World Congress Diabetes Fellowship Award

Dhanbad, Feb 17: Two doctors from Jharkhand, Dr. Ajay Patwari from Dhanbad and Dr. A. Arshad from Garhwa, have been honoured with the prestigious World Congress Diabetes Fellowship Award by the Asian Study Group. The award was presented during the DiabetesIndia Fellowship Convocation, held from February 13 to 16 in Ahmedabad. The event concluded on Sunday evening.

Union Minister Presents the Prestigious Award

Union Minister of State for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr. Jitendra Singh, was the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the convocation. He presented the esteemed fellowship award to Dr. Patwari and Dr. Arshad, recognizing their contributions to diabetes care and treatment.

Jharkhand’s Eminent Diabetologist Leads Scientific Session

During the three-day convocation, Dr. N.K. Singh, a renowned diabetologist from Jharkhand, chaired the Cardio-Renal Metabolic (CRM) scientific session. Dr. Singh, who is also a Governing Body (GB) member of DiabetesIndia, had previously received the World Congress Diabetes Fellowship Award in 2020.

Dr. Patwari and Dr. Arshad’s Contribution to Diabetes Treatment

Dr. Patwari and Dr. Arshad are considered senior diabetologists in Jharkhand, making significant contributions to diabetes care in their respective regions.

Doctors from Dhanbad and Garhwa have congratulated them on receiving this prestigious fellowship award at both the global and Asian levels.

“This fellowship award is indeed prestigious. I feel a deep sense of satisfaction as it recognizes my work in the field of diabetes,” said Dr. Patwari over the phone from Ahmedabad.
