Dhanbad, Feb 12: Police arrested two members of a bike-lifting gang and recovered three stolen vehicles during a special checking operation at Bhuli More under Bhuli police station area in the coal city. The operation was conducted on the directive of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) HP Janardhanan.
Police chase and arrest
During the evening vehicle-checking drive at Bhuli More, two bike riders attempted to flee upon spotting the police. However, the police team chased them down and apprehended both suspects along with their motorcycles, which had no number plates.

Officer-in-Charge of Bhuli police station, Abhinav Kumar, stated that the arrested individuals, identified as Fardin Khan and Karim Khan, confessed to stealing the bikes a month ago from the Bank More and Saraidhela areas, both prominent commercial zones in the city.

Arrested criminals sent to jail
Following their interrogation, police also recovered a stolen scooty from their hideout. The arrested individuals have been sent to jail, while efforts are ongoing to track down their accomplices and recover more stolen bikes.
A senior police officer mentioned that, given the increasing incidents of bike theft in the district, the SSP has instructed all police stations to conduct rigorous vehicle checks at key locations to curb such crimes.
