THE JHARKHAND STORY DESK

Patna, May 19: Jan Suraaj Party has appointed former BJP MP Uday Singh as its first national president, announced party founder Prashant Kishor at a press event in Patna on Monday.

Uday Singh, who served two terms as the MP from Purnia, shifted allegiance from BJP to Congress in 2019 but did not contest the 2024 elections. Instead, he supported independent candidate Pappu Yadav, who won the Purnia seat.
