Ranchi, Sept 22: Usha Martin University, Ranchi, organised the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect programme on campus today, under the guidance of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. The event was led by the National Service Scheme (NSS), UMU, to involve students in nation-building and youth empowerment.
Over 330 students from different departments joined the programme, making it a lively and interactive event.
Inspiring Youth Icons
The biggest highlight was an engaging session with two young achievers:

- Riya Gupta, Winner of Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2025
- Shivangi Kshitiza Saurav, who represented Uttar Pradesh at the National Youth Festival
They shared their journeys, achievements, and vision for a developed India (Viksit Bharat). Their stories motivated students to step up in leadership, innovation, and community service.

Support from the University
The programme was also attended by university leaders, NSS coordinators, faculty, and staff. They appreciated the initiative and highlighted how youth-focused events help prepare students to become future leaders.
