Vandana Dadel appointed Jharkhand home secretary after EC nod

Ranchi, March 19: The State government appointed today Vandana Dadel, a 1995 batch IAS officer, as home secretary after the Election Commission removed Arwa Rajkamal.

Arwa Rajkamal, a 2008 batch IAS officer, was removed because he held the post of Secretary to the chief minister.

After this, the Personnel Department, Jharkhand sent the names of Vandana Dadel, Manish Ranjan and Abu Bakr Siddiqui to the Commission for the post of Home Secretary. Of these, Vandana Dadel has been made the Home Secretary. After the consent of the Election Commission, the Personnel Department issued its order on Tuesday

Presently, Vandana Dadel is the Principal Secretary of the Forest and Environment Department. Besides, she also has the additional charge of the cabinet.

Earlier, she was also principal secretary to ex-chief minister Hemant Soren.
