New Delhi, Jan 7: The Election Commission of India announced the schedule for the Delhi Assembly elections today following the release of the final voter list on January 6.
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar disclosed the details during a press conference at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi at 2 PM. Voting is set for February 5, with the results to be declared on February 8.

According to the Election Commission, over 1.55 crore voters will participate in the Delhi Assembly elections across 70 seats this time. This includes 83,49,645 male voters, 71,73,952 female voters, and 1,261 voters from the third gender.
With the announcement of the elections, the Model Code of Conduct will come into effect in Delhi. Notably, the term of the Delhi Assembly is set to end on February 23.
Delhi last held its Assembly elections in February 2020 in which the AAP won 62 out of the 70 Assembly seats.
