Dantewada, March 31: A female Naxalite, carrying a reward of ₹25 lakh, was killed in an encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region on Monday.
Officials confirmed that her body was recovered from the site along with an INSAS rifle, ammunition, and other essential supplies.
The slain Maoist was identified as Renuka alias Banu alias Chaite alias Saraswati, a resident of Kadvendi district in Warangal.

Dantewada Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rai confirmed the recovery of her body along with weapons.
The encounter took place around 9 a.m. in a dense forested area along the Dantewada-Bijapur border when security forces, including the District Reserve Guard (DRG), launched an anti-Maoist operation in villages under the Geedam and Bhairamgarh police stations.
As the personnel moved through the forest, a gunfight erupted, leading to the Naxalite’s death.
