XLRI, SRIHER sign MoU for healthcare professionals

Jamshedpur, Nov 22: Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Management Sciences (SRFMS), a constituent faculty of Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER), Chennai and XLRI (Xavier School of Management) came together on  November  21  to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop and offer various academic and professional programs to meet the growing demands for skilled healthcare management professionals.

Both institutions have a rich heritage of offering high-quality, relevant and cutting-edge educational programs that groom well-rounded, responsible professionals to address the growing needs of industry and the nation.

The institutions also look forward to actively collaborate on areas of research relevant to the rapidly growing challenges faced by the healthcare sector.

India’s first Business School, XLRI was founded by Jesuit Fr. Quinn Enright, SJ and SRIHER was founded by Sri Ramachandra Education & Health Trust.

XLRI is currently celebrating its platinum jubilee year, having been established in 1949 whereas SRIHER was established in 1985 as a medical college, going on to become a deemed university in 1994 offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in most areas related to medicine and healthcare sciences.

XLRI was the first to start a full-time management program in Industrial Welfare in the year 1953 and has since successfully pioneered many educational and management development programs, including through the online mode since 2002.

Both institutions have been consistently ranked amongst the top private educational institutions in the country.
