Zeeshan Siddique dismissed as President of Mumbai Youth Congress after father’s move to NCP

New Delhi, Feb 21: Zeeshan Siddique, the son of Nationalist Congress Party leader Baba Siddique, was dismissed from his role as President of the Mumbai Youth Congress by the Congress party a few days following his father’s exit from Congress.

According to a press release from the Congress, Akhilesh Yadav has been named the new president of the Mumbai Youth Congress.

Zeeshan Siddique, the son of Baba Siddique, is presently a Congress MLA representing Mumbai’s Bandra (East).

Baba Siddique, a notable minority figure representing the Congress in Mumbai, declared on February 8 that he would end his longstanding affiliation with the party, which spanned 48 years.

Following his collaboration with Ajit Pawar, he criticized the Congress, stating, “Congress does politics of perception, they want our votes but don’t want to give anything.”

He strongly condemned the party and claimed that within the Congress, he was treated akin to how “curry leaves” are utilized to add flavor to food.
