Ranchi, March 9: The Central Government has promoted 15 officers of the Jharkhand State Administrative Service to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions issued the notification regarding the promotions on March 9.
According to the notification, the officers have been appointed to the IAS based on the 2024 selection list under the provisions of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954 and the IAS (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955.

The promoted officers will be appointed on probation and allocated to the Jharkhand cadre.
Officers promoted to IAS
The officers promoted to the Indian Administrative Service are:
Dileshwar Mahto, Ishteyaq Ahmed, Vidya Nand Sharma Pankaj, Sangeeta Lal, Robin Toppo, Nayan Tara Kerketta, Arun Kumar Singh, Alok Shikari Kachhap, Anilsan Lakra, Nagendra Paswan, Subodh Kumar, Asif Ekram, Neeraj Kumar Singh, Zulfikar Ali, and Archana Mehta.
Strengthening the state administration
Following the Centre’s decision, these officers will now serve as IAS officers in the Jharkhand cadre, which is expected to further strengthen the administrative system of the state.
