New Delhi, July 12: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth in various central government departments through video conferencing.
The occasion marked the 16th edition of the Rozgar Mela, a flagship initiative aimed at empowering the country’s young workforce.
Held simultaneously at 47 locations across India, the employment drive saw fresh recruits joining diverse departments such as the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Labour and Employment, and Department of Financial Services, among others.

The event began at 11 a.m. with an address by Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh, who underscored the government’s consistent focus on employment-led growth.
The Rozgar Mela aims to provide government job opportunities to the youth and enhance their role in public service and governance.
Since its inception, the Rozgar Mela initiative has led to the issuance of over 10 lakh appointment letters across the country, continuing to offer fresh opportunities and support to India’s aspiring workforce.
