21 bills including two financial bills to be considered in Parliament’s Winter Session

New Delhi, Dec 2: During the forthcoming Winter Session of the Parliament, a total of 21 bills, two of which are financial bills, are anticipated to be considered.

“We are bringing in 19 Bills and two are financial items. There are a total of 21 items. The three bills are from the Home Ministry. There is a bill on Central University, constitutional order,” Pralhad Joshi, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister stated.

The list was unveiled on Saturday, the same day as an all-party meeting convened in anticipation of the commencement of the Winter Session on Monday.

Key bills such as the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and the Bhartiya Sakshya Adhiniyam are slated for discussion in the upcoming session of Parliament.

Additional bills on the agenda encompass the Repealing and Amending Bill (passed by the Lok Sabha), the Advocates (Amendment) Bill (passed by the Rajya Sabha), and the Press and Registration of Periodicals Bill (passed by the Rajya Sabha).

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi stated that the Winter session will start on December 4 and end on December 22.

“There will be 15 sittings in a period of 19 days,” he stated.

Regarding the all-party meeting, Joshi mentioned, “30 leaders from 23 parties were present in today’s all-party meeting under the chairmanship of Rajnath Singh. We have received several suggestions.”
