40 players named for senior women’s hockey camp ahead of Asia Cup 2025

Bengaluru, July 19: As part of preparations for the crucial Women’s Asia Cup 2025, Hockey India has named a 40-member core group for the upcoming Senior Women’s National Coaching Camp.

The camp will be held at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Centre in Bengaluru from July 21 to August 29.

The Asia Cup, scheduled to begin on September 5 in Hangzhou, China, is a key qualifying event for the 2026 FIH Women’s World Cup. Only the winning team from the tournament will secure an automatic berth in the World Cup.

All athletes from the previous training camp have been retained, signalling the coaching staff’s focus on consistency and long-term player development within the current system.
