Chhattisgarh tribal students visit BIT Sindri

Dhanbad, February 17: A group of 30 tribal and primitive tribe students of Balarampur- Ramanujganj district of Chhattisgarh has arrived at BIT Sindri on a two-day educational tour (February 17-18) of the institution to get exposure.

BIT Sindri Director Dr Pankaj Rai and senior faculty members received the students’ group and led them to visit different institutions’ faculty and other places.

Three nodal officers, Binod Kumar Patel, Ritesh Kumar Minj, and Vibyani Barwa, accompany the group.

Mantra for success

While welcoming the student group, BIT Sindri Director Dr Pankaj Rai gave a ‘Mantra’ for students’ success and made them aware of BIT Sindri.

Senior faculty members of the institution, Dr Nirmal Soren, Dr Sangram Hembram, Dr Prasant Kumar Singh and Prof Raj Darayan Dev, guided the Chhattisgarh students in 10 departments and informed them about important laboratories.

Balarampur-Ramanujganj DM Rimijuous Ekka

The visit of the tribal students’ group has been made at the request of Balarampur- Ramanujganj DM Rimijuous Ekka.

In his letter to BIT director Pankaj Rai, Ekka expressed hope that this exposure visit will enrich their vision and motivate them to aspire to join BIT Sindri as an eminent institution.

Centre of attraction

BIT Sindri of Jharkhand has become the centre of attraction nationwide for outstanding performance in competitions among technical institutions. Last week, the highest number of 32 students of BIT Sindri received the Reliance Foundation Scholarship.

In January, BIT Sindri emerged rank 1 in the East Zone and 9th among engineering colleges in the prestigious Intershala Annual Engineering College ranking.
