Victim and accused were in a relationship

About the motive behind this brutal murder, Pandey said, “Permode and Amrita were in a relationship. They are daily wager types. Permode is already a married man. Amrita was putting pressure on him to marry her. He was reluctant and resistant to this offer of Amrita Kumari.  Permode wanted to get rid of her and he in the most barbaric act stoned her to death.”

“The locale where the body was found is a dense forest. Here wild animals devoured her flesh leaving behind her skull and bones” reminded SP Garhwa.

Police have recovered her skull and bones. Samples of it have been preserved for the DNA test.

Police have recovered the blood-stained stone with which she was done to death.

On being asked that there were rains and hailstones between February 19 and 23 when Permode was detained first and residues to the deceased’s girl were recovered and so how could it be that blood stains remained intact on the stone in question to which SP Garhwa said “Blood stain was there. It’s no problem.”

Accused remanded to judicial custody

Police on the basis of the confession and disclosure made by Permode, the detainee to the prime single accused of the murder of Amrita, and booking him under section 302 remanded him in judicial custody today in Garhwa.

The case was most inhuman and could have taken more time before its busting but the Bhandarya police led by its SDPO Ranka Rohit Ranjan Singh and OC Bhandarya police station unfolded the case much faster than expected.
