New Delhi, Feb 28: In the land-for-job case including allegations of money laundering, the Rouse Avenue court in Delhi on Wednesday granted regular bail to Rabri Devi, Misa Bharti, Hema Yadav and Hridyanand Chaudhary.
All the accused appeared in person before the court. Previously on February 9, they had been granted interim bail.
Special judge Vishal Gogne grants regular bail
Special judge Vishal Gogne provided regular bail to the accused individuals upon submission of a bail bond worth Rs one lakh and a surety bond of equal value.
The court noted that they were not detained during the investigation and there is no concern about the accused evading the law.

ED presents reply on bail pleas
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) submitted a response regarding the regular bail petitions of Rabri Devi, Misa Bharti, Hema Yadav and Hridyanand Chaudhary.
Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) for ED, Manish Jain, accompanied by Snehal Sharda, appeared and stated that if bail were granted, stringent conditions should be imposed due to the seriousness of the accusations.
Land-for-jobs scam
The land-for-jobs scam relates to the time when Lalu Yadav served as the railway minister during the initial term of the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government at the Central level.
During the period from 2004 to 2009, the accusation is that numerous individuals were appointed to Group “D” positions across different zones of the Indian Railways. In return, these individuals allegedly transferred their land to the family members of the then railway minister Lalu Yadav and A K Infosystems Private Limited.
