Jamshedpur, March 4: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued an alert of thundershowers and lightning in isolated pockets of Jharkhand today.
The forecast says thunderstorms and lightning are expected at isolated places over north-east, southern and adjoining central parts of the state.
According to weathermen, an induced low-pressure area over northwest Rajasthan and neighbourhood lies over western Punjab and the neighbourhood and an associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level.

A trough runs from southwest Madhya Pradesh to north interior Karnataka at 0.9 km above the mean sea level.
Tomorrow’s forecast suggests mainly clear sky and dry weather.
Light rain with thunderstorms is likely to occur at isolated places over the southern and adjoining central parts of the state on Wednesday, March 6.
A forecast of light rain with thunderstorms at isolated places over southern parts of the state was also issued for Thursday, March 7.
