Jamshedpur, March 5: In a powerful display of solidarity and a call for justice for a foreign tourist, bike riders from Jamshedpur, including members of the Jodi Riders, Royal King Motorcycle Club, and riders from West Bengal, gathered at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Jamshedpur on Tuesday.

Riders submit memorandum to DC

The riders collectively submitted a memorandum addressed to DC, Ananya Mittal urging swift action and stringent punishment for the culprits involved in the recent assault on a foreign woman rider in Dumka on March 1.

The riders, representing vibrant riding community, came together to voice their concerns and demand a safer environment for all riders, especially women.

The memorandum highlighted the need for urgent intervention to curb such incidents and ensure the safety of riders on the roads.

During the submission of the memorandum, riders emphasised the severity of the incident and the urgency for authorities to take immediate action against the perpetrators.

They called for justice and demanded that the guilty parties be given strict punishment to serve as a deterrent for any potential future offenders.

The DC stated, “We will take full care to ensure the safety of riders, and strict measures will be implemented to address such heinous acts. The local administration will work tirelessly to bring the culprits to justice.”

Riding groups demand to publicly highlight faces of guilty

“One notable demand made on behalf of the riders was that the faces of the guilty individuals should not be covered. Instead, they should be publicly highlighted to send a strong message that such individuals have no place in society,” said Paramdeep Singh of Jodi Riders.

Prominent riding groups, including the Jodi Riders, Royal King Motorcycle Club, and riders from West Bengal, actively participated in the memorandum submission. The riders, united by their passion for biking, have now come together to champion the cause of justice and safety for all riders on the roads.

The incident in Dumka has ignited a collective call for action, uniting riders from different regions and backgrounds in their pursuit of a safer riding environment.

The memorandum submitted today stands as a testament to the riders’ determination to ensure that such unfortunate incidents are addressed promptly and effectively, sending a clear message that the riding community stands united against any form of injustice.
