Jamshedpur, March 12: In a display of courage and skill, 135 disabled children from nine schools showcased their talent at the annual sports competition “Hausla,” organized by the Jamshedpur chapter of CII Young Indians.

The event, held at the Sumant Mulgaonkar Stadium Telco, witnessed enthusiastic participation and spirited performances.

Distinguished guests including Divyanshu Sinha, Pulkit Jhunjhunwala, and Leena Adesara inaugurated the competition, setting the stage.

The event honoured not only the winning participants but also recognized the coaches who have been instrumental in nurturing the talents of children with disabilities.

Names like SK Tomar, Lalita Rao and Gopal Rao were felicitated for their outstanding contributions.

32 sports events

With a total of 32 sports events, including track and field games, the competition provided a platform for children of all abilities to showcase their skills. From sprint races to shot put and running jumps, each event was met with determination and sportsmanship.

The results reflected the dedication and effort of the participants, with individuals like Neha Kumari in weightlifting, Saumya Parveen in powerlifting, and Sanjeev Sharma in floor hockey earning well-deserved recognition for their achievements on national and international stages.

Numerous schools participate

The inclusive nature of the event was highlighted by the participation of schools catering to various disabilities, including Asha Kiran School Telco, School of Hope Bistupur, and National Academy of Blind-Baradwari. Through their involvement, the event not only celebrated sporting prowess but also promoted inclusivity and empowerment.

As the curtains closed on yet another successful edition of “Hausla,” the spirit of courage and resilience exhibited by these young athletes serves as a reminder of the limitless potential that resides within every individual, irrespective of their abilities.

In making this event successful, Young Indians Jamshedpur Chapter Chairman Udit Agarwal, along with Chair Ankita Naredi, Kaushik Modi, Mridul Goyal, Shilpa Dhanuka, Ankit Lodha, Mokshita Gautam, Shruti Jhunjhunwala, Aanchal Khadia along with members of Arka Jain College and Netaji Subhash University were instrumental in making this event successful.
