Revealing about the breakthrough, additional superintendent of police, West Singhbhum, Parash Rana said that all the five arrested persons were originally from Bihar.

“The racket of manufacturing spurious ‘foreign’ liquor was running since the past one year. The stocks of duplicate liquor were being disposed off in Chakradharpur, Chaibasa and in the interior of the West Singhbhum district, ” said the additional SP while addressing a press conference at Chaibasa today.

The senior police officer pointed out that as the general elections came closer, the racketeers had planned to increase the volume of liquor production, expecting huge sales among the gullible electorate.
