Dhanbad, April 9: District Transgender president Sunaina Singh will contest the Dhanbad Lok Sabha seat against Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress party on the ticket of the Bhartiya Ekta Party (BEP).

Sunaina Singh, a graduate from Dhanbad PK Roy Memorial College, today announced that she has got an official ticket from the Bhartiya Ekta Party (Uttar Pradesh organisation) and will contest the election to be held on May 25.

“Earlier, I had decided to contest the election independently, but having seen my growing popularity, Bhartiya Ekta Party supremo Choudhary ji today granted me a ticket for the Dhanbad seat”, she said.

For the Dhanbad seat, the Bhartiya Janata (BJP) has already announced the name of its candidate who is the three times Baghmara MLA Dhulu Mahto. Under the INDIA bloc Dhanbad seat has gone to Congress. The party is yet to announce its name.

Sunaina Singh, in a query, said that she neither fears contesting against any big names (Dhulu Mahto) nor considers anyone above her.

“The plight of Dhanbad, especially the unemployment problem, has compelled me to contest the election. My manifestos are solving the youth unemployment problem and providing a high standard education system to students in Dhanbad”, she said.

Sunaina Singh said that she will go to people with new ideas for solving their problems that are still unaddressed so far.

“Five KG free ration and Rs 2000 pension of the central government would not solve the permanent problem of people. Only a permanent job of a mere Rs 50 would bail them out from crisis”, she said.

Sunaina Singh said that since she is a political novice, she would not comment against any established political party.
