New Delhi, April 12: The perpetrator and the mastermind behind the explosion at the Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru have been arrested, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) stated on Friday.
The NIA team apprehended Adbul Matheen Taha and Mussavir Hussain Shazeb, the two main absconders in the Rameswaram Cafe blast case, after tracking them down to their hiding place near Kolkata, according to officials.
Abdul Matheen Taha is the mastermind behind the planning, execution, and subsequent escape from the law enforcement, while Mussavir Hussain Shazib is the accused who planted the improvised explosive device (IED) at the cafe.

The NIA stated that early on Friday morning, its investigators had tracked down the fugitive suspects near Kolkata, where they had taken up bogus identities.
“This pursuit, successfully accomplished by NIA was ably supported by energetic coordinated action and co-operation between NIA, Central Intelligence agencies and State Police agencies of West Bengal, Telangana, Karnataka, and Kerala police,” the NIA stated.
On March 1, an IED explosion occurred in the Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru’s Brookefield neighbourhood, injuring at least 10 people.
