Chatra, April 15: Police stated that in the Chatra district of Jharkhand, four Naxalites were arrested on Monday.
The Special Investigation Team headed by Tandwa SDPO Prabhat Ranjan apprehended the members of the Trititya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC), a CPI (Maoist) splinter group, from the Piparwar police station area, they added.
Superintendent of Police Vikas Kumar Pandey stated that among the items confiscated from them were two US-manufactured pistols, two magazines, and live cartridges.

He mentioned that those who were apprehended were identified as Masi Tigga (29), Vifa Oraon (25), Vikas Oraon (22), and Kiran Nagarwal (42).
They were found to be extorting businessmen linked to mining and infrastructure projects in several police station areas such as Khalari, McCluskieganj, Budmu, and Ratu along with Tandwa and Piparwar police station areas.
