Jamshedpur, April 16: XLRI Jamshedpur conducted its 1st convocation ceremony of the PGDM (HRM) Program for the Emerging CHROs at the Tata Auditorium at the B-school campus last evening .

The chief guest for the event was Anuradha Razdan, Executive Director HR & CHRO of Hindustan Unilever & Unilever South Asia.

A total of 38 students received their post graduate diploma degrees. The XLRI Medal for Academic Excellence was awarded to Varun Sevva Reddy.

“Thanks to everyone at XLRI for conceptualizing this program and congratulations to all the graduating students for making this your choice. XLRI has nurtured the discipline of Human Resources way ahead of industry. Our institute has demonstrated the pioneering spirit that it stands for. I am happy to see that the graduating batch comes across from 16 industries and with 653 years of collective experience”, said Anuradha Razdan, Executive Director HR, & CHRO of Hindustan Unilever & Unilever South Asia.

XLRI Director addresses gathering, distributes diploma degrees to 38 students

As the role of Human Resources (HR) in organizations continues to evolve and gain prominence, there is a growing demand for competent Chief Human Resources Officers (CHROs) who can navigate the complexities of the modern workplace.

XLRI, leveraging its rich legacy in management education and industry partnerships launched PGDM (HRM) Program for the Emerging CHROs tailored specifically for emerging CHROs in March 2022.

Fr S George, director of XLRI Jamshedpur congratulated the batch and said, “When rigidity clashes with reality, the looser is reality unless we are very careful, awake, alive and we keep questioning and have rational mind. Use your knowledge, and whatever you learn throughout life, it’s now the time to keep the spirit of questioning alive and challenging anything to which we do not agree, anything that is disturbing stand up to it or else you will become spectator of your own life. With these words, I encourage you to be strong, compassionate, understanding and question to whatever stands against humanity. Congratulations once again.”

He then distributed the diploma degrees to the 38 graduating students.

About PGDM (HRM) Program

The AICTE recognized 18-month Postgraduate diploma program in HRM for Emerging CHROs is designed for mid-senior HR professionals with a minimum 10 years of experience, aspiring to transition into senior leadership roles such as CHROs or HR directors.

The program is delivered through a blend of virtual learning modules and on-campus residencies, live webinars, and self-paced online coursework to accommodate the diverse learning needs and preferences of participants.

It is led by a team of renowned faculty with expertise in HR management, leadership development, organizational psychology, and related disciplines from XLRI and from International Business Schools.
